Background

Lycée Français de New York (LFNY) offers a multicultural and multilingual education. French and American teaching methods and curricula content are combined with the result that students graduate with both the French Baccalauréat and the American High School Diploma. The school is authorised by the French Ministry of Education as well the New York State Association of Independent Schools.

Though LFNY has a large population of 1,370 students, classes are small. The average class is made up of just 15 students who are taught by English- and French-speaking teachers.
