I'm doing research for an employee of my company that will be living and working for 6 months in Reggio di Calabria, Italy. I have tried finding the average price for a 1 bedroom apartment, but I have had no success. Does anyone have this information, or the average price for a 1 bedroom apartment in a nearby city? Thank you.

Hi, Jennifer, Have you tried approaching your office or client there to help arrange for an apartment? It is likely your employee will be staying a hotel or serviced apartment for that short duration. Will this be a short term assignment? If so, your company should carefully consider the personal and corporate tax implications and plan accordingly to avoid unnecessary exposures. Often times, companies assume that there will be no tax implications so long as the trip will be no more than 183 days. This is not a correct interpretation of the treaty rules.
