Opening a bank account in the Netherlands is a relatively straight-forward process...though, you'll first need to secure a bit of paperwork before you do so. For this reason, maintain an offshore account and bring a card with you (VISA or MASTERCARD) to withdraw money and make large purchases in the meantime.
