Where do the expatriates in Kerala stay? What is the cost of accommodation?

Hi Winnie - most expats in Kerala stay in the state capital Kochi. Within this city the suburb of Fort Kochi seems to be a popular one with foreigners - this area is near the infopark where most of the tech companies are located. The cost of living, including accommodation, for an expat is generally cheaper than what they are used to back home, but this of course, depends on where you are coming from. Have a look at our Moving in India guide to read more about life as an expat in India.

Hi Winnie,
There are a lot places in Kochi which are good places for expatriates to live on. As Catherine said, Fort Kochi is one of the best. Thevara, marine drive are better places too.
Rgs,
Afzal.
