Could anybody recommend some family friendly areas to live in please? We have 2 boys (5 and 3 years old) and would prefer to be nearer to outdoor spaces rather than in the centre. Thanks in advance.
If you want a good way to search for housing close to schools or public transport, this portal has features that enables you to do that :) www.nestia.com
Much of your choice on where to live in Singapore will depend on where you'd like your child to be schooled. International schools are spread throughout Singapore.
Try to find somewhere near Orchard Road if it's in your budget as it's close to the local shopping, restaurants and other amenities, and the surrounding neighbourhoods are quiet and leafy. The American Club and Tanglin Club are also close.
Holland Village is also popular with expats, it's near Orchard Road and has lots of good restaurants and a nice atmosphere. Transport is good, and the Botanical Gardens are nearby (lovely place for a jog).
Further afield, consider the East Coast. You can get larger properties here, and there's more space and a pretty coast.

Take a look at the Areas and Suburbs of Singapore page for more information on suitable places.
Good luck
