Hi Steve and Chris

The standard of healthcare in Cyprus is generally good. If you're an EU citizen and a premanent resident of Cyprus, you are entitled to free state healthcare, provided you register for a medical card. There are a number of different medical cards depending on your personal circumstances and finanial position. To read more about this and the general state of healthcare in Cyrpus, including how to find a doctor, filling prescriptions and emergency services, check out Healthcare in Cyprus

Hope this helps, and good luck with your relocation!

Hi Steve and Chris. What Cathrine failed to mention is you only get free treatment if one of you is claiming a UK state pension, if not you will have to pay for medication and treatment until one of you gets your pension, even then some treatment you still have to pay for such as certain scans. Also if you are on or have to have medication with no pension it is very expensive. Hope this helps
