Greetings. I have an unused temporary entry work visa/permit which will expire next month. This entry visa has not been stamped in my passport and I have not yet entered Qatar. Can a new company/sponsor apply a new temporary entry work visa for me once the previously issued unused entry visa expires? Should the previously issued unused entry visa still need to be cancelled even if it already has expired? I appreciate any help on this issue.

Hi John,

If the work permit has expired I don't think it should cause any problems - officials may wonder why it remained unused though so that might be worth just mentioning somewhere in your application.

Hi Maegan, thanks for your comment. A company in Qatar just suddenly applied for my temporary entry work visa without me accepting/signing a job offer letter from them. That's why I did not proceed to use it because it might put me in unfavourable situation once I'm with them in Qatar.

Hi John,

Sounds like you made a good call there. Like I said, it shouldn't cause any problems. Best of luck with your new job.
