There are a number of websites where people post personal ads looking for roommates or shared accommodation. If you click here, this is a website specifically for those looking for roommates in Prague. If there isn't anyone suitable you can always place your own ad. Community websites, Facebook pages, and forums related to the university might also be good places to advertise for a roommate. It might be a good idea to find a place first and then find someone to move in with her once she is there. Our Accommodation in Czech Republic page has some info on how to find somewhere to live.
Agree with the previous post but I would be very weary of rooming from an advert you never know who is lurking out there. Not wanting to frighten but do your due diligence and check references carefully. Friends recommendations would be a good start.

Also some very good points - thanks for your input, Martin!
Lallirp - Martin's absolutely right. I should probably have mentioned that it is indeed very important to make sure the person is genuine before signing a lease with someone from an advert. One of the reasons it might be better to do the advertising yourself rather than answering an existing ad is that it puts you in the position of power and allows you to screen the people that come to you - probably all a bit safer that way, but be sure to do background checks on all potential roommates.

Best of luck to your daughter on her move.
Kind regards
