I am 60 year old and diabetic. Currently staying with my family to assist in childcare long term but not permanent. Any advice on healthcare as I need prescription medication.

From UK but staying at Episkopi in Cyprus currently.

Have a look at our Healthcare in Cyprus page, which may assist you with some of the queries you have. As a UK citizen you are able to access the public healthcare system.
