Hi there

I'm moving to Norway at the end of September to work as a researcher. I know that its likely to be very different, but want to try and prepare myself as well as possible. How much culture shock should I expect there, and are there any specific things to look out for?

Hi Belinda

While Norway is a European country with a lot that will be familiar, there are also quite a few things that are different. Many expats struggle with the weather and the long nights during winter. Food, in terms of what is readily available and how much certain things cost, is also an adjustment for many.
