I have accepted an offer for a role in Abu Dhabi.
Base Salary: 164000 AED per annum
Housing allowance: 100000 AED per annum
Living Assistance: 1500 AED per month
Travel assistance: 1500 AED per month
offer includes
Medical
Education (3 kids upto the age of 18)
Annual flight tickets (cash)
Relocation allowance 1500 USD
My concern is the housing allowance too low? I am going with family (1 child)
It sounds like a fairly decent package. But you are right that the housing allowance is a little low, while it will cover most of your accommodation costs, as it stands you will be likely to have to foot some of the bill. For an two-bedroom apartment in Central Abu Dhabi, you are looking to pay at least AED 120,000.

I am not exactly sure what the role of a credit manager is but as a benchmark a bank manager in Abu Dhabi can earn around USD 10,000 per month. Remember salaries are tax-free in Abu Dhabi and deductions are also minimal.

When negotiating your salary, you also need to factor in accommodation allowances, allowances for childrens school fees, and other benefits such as whether you will receive medical insurance and a company car.
