I'm currently working in KSA with a monthly salary of SAR 31k per mth for the past 2 years. I have been receiving an offer to work in Abu Dhabi with a salary of AED 27k per mth, which is lesser than my current earning. I'm having a big dilemma to proceed with the offer? Can I live comfortably with this offer with my wife staying together? How much saving can I make from this proposed salary though I know its ultimately depends on my lifestyle. Im struggling with my decision to accept the offer or staying in KSA. Of course, there is pros & cons for both. Monetary wise, I would stay; but on the other hand, if I'm looking for better quality of life, then AD is the preferred destination. Appreciate kind feedback.

Hi Fadyl, the cost of living in Abu Dhabi can be steep and your ability to save would, as you have already mentioned, all depend on your own lifestyle, as well as what benefits are offered along with your basic salary. Accommodation is likely to be your biggest expense. Transport is another thing you would have to consider as public transport in Abu Dhabi is far from comprehensive, so you may have to consider buying a car.

If you're not sure anymore about KSA, I'd say move. I now people in AUH leaving a pretty decent lifestile and saving with both their eranings combined to aroung 27-28 K AED, so you should be fine, even if your wife's not working. 
Food and cloths costs in Abu Dhabi and KSA are very similar, and the currencies as well. So if you've lived ok, you'll probably be better off in Abu Dhabi, with the peace of mind that your movements are more free, and the life is more relaxed.
