Dear Sir,
I have applied for a job in Bahrain & have been selected for a accountant in Bahrain in a super mart JAAA (JUMA ALHAJ ALI ALKANGOONI). I have been selected through the Skype interview by the consultant namely Boson Connected situated at Singapore as per them. That interview was in the month of Feb-March-2014 but till dated there site is not working & JAAA site is showing coming soon. Now it is requesting your good self please let me know is this recruitment fake or genuine.
This issue popped up on our forum back in March, have a look here: http://www.expatarrivals.com/answers/is-this-jaaabh-job-offer-in-bahrain-a-scam
In the meantime, don't give them any money or original copies of official documentation until you're sure.
Hope this will be helpful.
Good luck,
Xavier
It's always tough to have a direct answer on this. If you haven't already, research the company online.
You are also entitled to ask them for company references. Speak to existing employees, and if they are reluctant to let you do that, that might be a warning sign.
Another idea would be to try and get hold of someone from a company in the same field, and send an email explaining your situation and asking if they know about the business.
I would suggest doing this for the business themselves as well as the recruiter.
The basic rule I would follow, is if it seems too good to be true, it is probably not true. And again, don't give them any money or original documentation.
I hope this works out for you.
Good luck,
Xavier
