Which areas of Seoul are good for finding accommodation? I understand rent is really expensive, but it's also important to me to be surrounded by the right type of vibe.
There's a ton of expats living in Seoul, but the most popular areas in the city for foreigners tend to be Itaewon and Haebangchon. Both of these neighbourhoods are central and filled with expats. Gangnam also has a lot of foreigners. Samchungdong or Hongdae are also cooler, more funky areas.
Most expats like to live near the school they're working out, and in the case that you're a big corporate with children, it's usually preferred to live near the international school your child attends.
