We are family with 4 kids, ages 15 yr boy, 14,yr girl, 9 and 4 yr boys. we have lived away for the last 16 years working and travelling, We have no idea about schools in Cork, Our eldest son, sails and loves rugby and football, our daughter who is 13 now, love ballet and sports, hockey, volley and swimming! our younger boys, now 8 year old, is very shy of adults but very sociable with other children, so we would prefer a school environment that offers him a loving environment to grow and learn in as opposed to a strict school environment, our youngest is in Jardin here and the Chilean system is very child friendly! Our three eldest go to a co-ed private school here in Chile now for the last 2 years, this is our 3rd yr, its small, about 300 students, We do not have a preference for private schooling, it was the best option here for us because of the curriculum taught. We are open to co ed, separate girls'/ boys ,religious or not and would consider paying school for the eldest two. I have been reading a lot , so much now that I have headaches when on the computer for more than an hour! we feel local knowledge would be valuable. So please any input, info on locations of schools, primary and secondary, and yacht club,to cork city would be very much appreciated. very best regards! Theresa
Hi Theresa
I will put this on our social media channels and see if we can get any on the ground advice on this.
In the meantime, have a look at our Education and Schools in Ireland page to see if you find anything useful there.
Best of luck,
Xavier
