Hello all, I'm currently applying a E-7 work visa. It appears that one of the documents to be submitted for the visa application is my original parchment/certificate with an apostille certification. If I submit my original parchment/certificate, will I be getting them back? They are originals and those are all I've got. Thanks and appreciate any response.
I know that requesting original certificates is fairly standard practice when applying to teach in South Korea, so this is not out of the ordinary.
Given that it is a standard process, it is highly likely that you will get your certificate back either via your employer or the Korean consulate.
I would recommend asking your employer about this just to be sure. Also, see our Work Permits in South Korea page, since you'll need your certificates and other documents to get an alien registration card.
Good luck!
Xavier
