Hi All, I'm a 30 year old Muslim Brit with the following: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science * Variety of IT courses * Bilingual in English & Arabic * Immense communication skills(TV & Radio experience) * Great sense of humour * Current job @ an elite Telecom operator * Amazing personality (No exaggeration, seeing is believing :^) ) *
A dream of working in Doha I arrived a few hours ago & frankly I'm clueless as to where to start, been hearing all sorts of "stories" on my way over here(some with Scorcese-level scripts), I like it so far although the roads seem to be a race track(which I personally don't mind).
I would love to meet some agencies with professional recruitment quality or to come in for an interview with a company or organization, my stay is three weeks long & I am free throughout for both formal & informal meetings, my contact is [email protected] Looking forward to take your breath away Sam :^)
85% of the work force in Qatar is made up expats, and the fact that you speak both English and Arabic will act in your favour when look for a job.
However, most people who are relocated to Qatar already have a job offer and an employwer who is willing to sponsor them for their work permit. So this will be your first challenge.
Unfortunatley, local recruitment agencies are scarces, and the best job-hunting strategy is to present you CV to a company personally. Alternativley make use of any contacts you alrady have in the country and network well. Job vacancy listings can be found in the Gulf Times. You could also approach British or international recruitment agencies.
