Hi I will be moving to Kuala Lumpur in a few months. Was wondering how difficult it will be for my wife to get a job. She normally works in sales.

Hi, I hope I'm not too late in answering ur question.. As I read from expatarrivals & Malaysian immigration site, it is not difficult to get a job here. Should be easy to find the procedure on our website... Just go to Malaysian Immigration site, under MAIN SERVICES > Expats > Facilities for Dependents. Anyhow, your wife might need work as a part-time staff in franchised food outlets, for example. I dont think it is easy for accompanying partners to get professional jobs here. I cant be sure though. But I've seen many students work at franchised food outlets, and they're doing fine. Hope this helped! - Sonia, MIP Properties

Hi If your wife is skilled and there is a company that requires her they will pay for her work permit. As a dependant visa holder she is not suppose to work but allowed to do social work. Regards Geri Buck. www.apexpointsolutions.com
