Background
A member of the Agency for French Teaching Abroad (AEFE) network, Lycée Francais International Charles de Gaulle de Pékin was founded in 1965.
The school offers three streams, all of which lead to some form of the French Baccalauréat. The standard stream is the French stream, where all teaching is in French, and English and Chinese are taught as additional languages. The British stream is bilingual, with most teaching in French with five hours a week of English subjects. The Chinese stream is also bilingual and works similarly. Bilingual streams lead to the international option of the Baccalaureate (either the UK or Chinese version) while the French stream leads to the standard French Baccalauréat.
