Hi, I'm vamshi from India, I would like to work, in other words settle in SA, working in software company on background testing tools (automation).
How can I apply for a visa without an employer in SA? I heard that there is a lot of opportunities in IT field, that is the reason i want to try to work in SA, so please help me to take the next step.
Do you have the qualifications necessary to work in IT in South Africa? They will need to be evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) before you are employed.
Take a look at our guide for more information on work permits in South Africa.

Please refer to the SAQA Foreign Qualifications site for further information. You can register as a user to find out about what must be submitted and how to go about this.
Best of luck,
Cayley
For a General Work Visa you would need to have secured a job offer first. If your profession is on the skills shortage list, you may be eligible for a Critical Skills Visa. You can check the official document here to find out if your profession is on the list.
For more info please see the Expat Arrivals Work Permits for South Africa page.
