Hi, I am considering relocating to Cyprus. I am a specialist medical practitioner. What will I be the requirements to register and practice in Cyprus? Dr Pieter.
The answer to your question would depend on your nationality as this affects whether or not you have the right to work in Cyprus - for example, if you are a citizen of an EU country, you should be able to work in Cyprus without restriction. (You can read more about this in the Expat Arrivals guide to Working in Cyprus.)
I also wonder, are you speaking with regard to setting up your own practice or finding a job with a pre-existing practice?
Kind regards
Meagan

Hi Dr Zakary,
You would need to register with the Cyprus Medical Council to be able to practice. They have a website which can be accessed here, but there doesn't seem to be any content on the website so I would recommend contacting them directly either by phone or by email. You will also need to apply for the appropriate visa.

Hi there Meagan, thanks for the links and the help you are offering, I'm a cardiovascular surgery resident in Northern Iraq- Kurdistan region, graduated from Egypt and I was wishing to relocate to Cyprus and practice there, is there a chance for residents to get jobs in Cyprus, after evaluating their licenses?
P.S. the Cyprus Medical Council website doesn't show anything, so it is really frustrating...
kindest regards,
Ahmed Barznji

Hello,
I would like to get informations from your side regarding my studies in relation to my visa that I’ve received for my master program in health care administration “GAU”. I am a dentist, graduated from Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), Egypt.
Please if it’s possible to send me any document which might help me with the procedures to follow in order to get the medical licence to practice dentistry in the mean time; as concerning the duration of my study?
Thanks in advance,
Yara Shahin
