Background

United Nations International School (UNIS) was founded in 1947 by a group of United Nations employees seeking a global and culturally diverse education for their children. Today, the school has a student body of around just under 1,500 made up of close to 100 different nationalities. Many are children of UN employees, but everyone is welcome – more than 60 percent of UNIS students come from non-UN families.
