Hi Arijit - is this offer per month or per annum? Also, the breakdown of this salary and what other benefits may be offered could make a huge difference to your ability to save - so does this include accommodation as an added benefit, or will you be expected to pay for accommodation yourself?
It may be worth checking out our Cost of Living in Abu Dhabi page to see what you can expect to pay for things in the emirate.
This is per month . it includes basic, accomodation, transport. Apart from this medical claim and one return flight to india is also in contract. I am a bachelor and ready t manage in studio apartmet
Hi Arijit - if this salary includes your salary plus accommodation and transport, it sounds like a pretty good deal. The fact that you are a bachelor and won't have kids to worry about or education to pay for makes a difference. It's also important that the company provides medical insurance, so it seems like you are covered on this front. As to the amount you'd be able to save, again that depends on your particular lifestyle, so as suggested, go check out our Cost of Living in Abu Dhabi page to work this out.
Good luck with your decision and possible move to Abu Dhabi!
You're welcome! Hope everything turns out as you hope!
If you're still in a position to negotiate your contract, I forgot to tell you to check out our article on Expat Contract Negotiation, which may give you some further guidance in getting the best deal before moving to Abu Dhabi.
Proving it includes private accommodation, then yes as this is what I earn with a 2 bedroom apartment with gas electricity and water included. An exceptionally high standard of living and crime free ( well 99% )
Hi,
Company is offering me AED 16K in Abu Dhabi. Its still in negotiation stage. They are not providing the accommodation. Will this amount be sufficient to maintain decent life style plus savings.
Have a look at our Cost of Living in Abu Dhabi and Accommodation in Abu Dhabi pages to see what it would cost you to maintain your lifestyle and how high rentals are in Abu Dhabi. Remember that traffic can be a pain so you'll need to try for an area near as possible to your workplace so you don't spend hours in traffic every day - which would definitely affect your quality of life!
I think you should try to negotiate a package that includes an accommodation allowance. Rentals in Abu Dhabi are very expensive and on the package as it stands you'll end up spending a large chunk of your salary on rent.
