HI We have an opportunity to relocate to Singapore with our 3 children in January. My question is really whether we will be able to get primary school places for them at an international school without debentures? We are lucky enough that we will be able to pay tuition - our concern is actually getting them places at a school? They are very happy and doing well at school at the moment and this will be a huge deciding factor for us - but we would really love to move ! Can anyone help me with this?! Thank you !

The top schools like UWCSEA or Tanglin will probably be out of the question I'm afraid - they have a three or four year waiting list for younger grade years. If you have your heart set on the top schools you should apply now and place your child in another school in the meantime.

Depending on what country your coming from and what curriculum you're after, you could try a school like ISS which will probably have space, especially as you'll be arriving after the start of the international school year.

Have a look at the education in Singapore page and the International schools in Singapore page for more information. No matter which school you decide on you should apply as soon as possible.

A popular option for expat parents is St Joseph's Institution International which runs both an Elementary and a High School. Parents are attracted to its Lasallian holistic education which distinguishes it from the other International Schools in Singapore.
