I've been offered a job in Jeddah, but I'm not sure if it's enough to survive - I've heard mixed things about the cost of living. I'm single and have no kids - so will be moving to Jeddah on my own. What will my biggest expenses in Saudi Arabia be? Where are the best places to live in Jeddah?
Most expats in Jeddah choose to live in compounds as this allows them to have a less restricted lifestyle and mix with fellow expats. Coumpound living for a single person would cost betwenn SAR 100,00-130,000 per month.
Accomodation will probably be your largest expense when moving to Jeddah. Other than that it will depends on the lifestyle you choose to have - i.e. will you buy a car? will you eat out?
