Hello Im from the UK and wondering if a university degree in an interactive media type job would get me a Hong Kong working visa?

Hi willbob15

It depends if the degree gives you a skillset not readily available in Hong Kong. A good litmus test would be to do a spot of job hunting on some Hong Kong job websites and see if you qualify for jobs listed. It will probably be a big plus in your favour if you can speak a bit of Mandarin.

Since you need to find a job before you can apply for a visa anyway, there is a simple way to find out: if you can find someone to hire you, then yes, your degree will be enough to get a Hong Kong working visa.

Check out the Expat Arrivals Visas in Hong Kong page for more info.

Good luck!
