My husband is starting a new job in Brussels next year and we are going to be relocating there with our three kids - 11, 5 and 2 - and I still need to find a school for there, Can anyone recommend a good international school in Brussels? We're British so I'd ideally like to stick to a school with that follows the British curriculum. thanks!

Gi GlobalNomad, Brussels is a very multicultural city with a large expat and diplomatic community. It therefore goes without saying that there are excellent international schools in Brussels. Although I can't recommend a specific school, I suggest having a look at our page on International Schools in Brussels, which has a comprehensive list of schools in the city. Bear in mind that demand for spaces at these schools is high so you need to start planning and deciding on a school as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment in not getting a spot for your kids at the school of your choice.

There is only one school which offers education based on the English national curriculum for 11-16 year olds in the Brussels area, that is the British School of Brussels which is actually outside Brussels in the town of Tervuren. But for the 5 and 2 year old, why not put them instead in a French or Dutch local school? If your school fees are paid for, they could even go French local for a couple of years then transfer into the bilingual classes at BSB, if you want eventually your youngest children to have some education also in English. The children in the bilingual classes there who get the most out of these classes are the ones who are already bilingual French-English.

We are also new in Belgium and last year tried to find international school for our 7 years old daughter. We liked ISG Ghent instead of Brussel schools.

Hi everyone, I'm from Turkey and live in Turkey. We will start to live in Brussels as my husband will work in an expat position. The most important thing I'm wondering is our daughter's education there. We've got a daughter who will be two and a half years old when we arrive there. I've been researching online but I think that the ideas of experienced people are more valuable and considerate. The company will pay the school fees but only for French-Dutch local schools. However, we prefer a bilingual (English-French) school if we will be able to afford. So could you please give me some information and tell the most suitable alternatives of schools?
