Background

The American School of Vietnam (TAS) aims to engage students in critical thinking, investigation, inquiry, problem-solving, writing, and research and to prepare them for admission to universities abroad in the United States, Europe, and beyond.

More than 25 nationalities are represented in the faculty and student body. The school follows an American curriculum with an international perspective for both Vietnamese and international students. After-school clubs include swimming, theatre, yoga, and dance, among others. The school has excellent facilities, including wireless access. There are also dedicated art, music, drama, dance, and IT rooms, a soccer field, basketball courts and a swimming pool.

Curriculum

The school follows a complete American curriculum in accordance with the California Standards of Learning. There is regular standard assessment testing, and in Grade 10, the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude tests are given out in October. Seniors study toward the American High School Diploma and Advanced Placement (AP) International Diploma.


Fees

Fees for the 2025/2026 year range from VND 239,800,000 for Pre-Nursery up to VND 723,500,000 for Grade 12. There is an application fee of VND 18,000,000.
