Hi There,

I am moving to Ho Chi Minh City in July and I was wonderirng if anyone can give me advice on how much I should budget for monthly expenses ?  Rent, food, utilities, entertainment costs ?

If it turns out to be more expensive than I thought, I think I will postpone the trip and try saving more money in the US before heading to Asia.

Hi Anya

You should not find Ho Chi Minh City very expensive coming from a Western country. The cost of living is relatively low. 

As for your budget, it depends entirely on your lifestyle, but to give you some idea of what things cost in Ho Chi Minh City have a look at our Cost of living in Ho Chi Minh City page. This will give you a breakdown of what rent, groceries, entertainment, etc. costs in the city, then you can work out your budget from there.

Hi Anya, The cost of living in VietNam is relatively low . Also If you'll looking for a place to stay in Ho Chi Minh city - Viet Nam , you should be find the Serviced room to stay the better ,the price of rentals from $250 till $330usd per month ( full furnished and included utilities), I think .
