If i am a US citizen living in Ireland working from home, what are my healthcare options? My company offers health insurance but not necessarilly international coverage and i am not sure irish doctors/dentists/hospitals will accept it.

Hi Koda, if you are resident in Ireland (i.e living there permanently and with the right paperwork), regardless of being a US citizen, then you will have access to public healthcare in Ireland. Healthcare at public hospitals in Ireland is excellent so you shouldn't worry too much about this. If your company is offering health insurance in Ireland then you will be able to visit any doctor of your choice and the insurance should cover all or part of the costs, depending on your health cover plan. To learn more about the Irish healthcare system have a look at our page on Healthcare in Ireland. To read more about health insurance, see Medical Insurance in Dublin.
