Day care centres in Oslo - any tips on finding a space for my child

Hi, I moved to Oslo two months ago and have been struggling to get daycare space for my kids. All the day cares are full and have long waiting lists.

I have also been told that it is possible for a doctor to make a recommendation for the Kommune to accept a child to foster learning the Norwegian language.
I will be grateful for any tips regarding how to go about this issue.
