Moving to Angola soon with my three kids. My wife and I have been researching schools in Angola and there don't seem to be that many international schools in Luanda - certainly seems very few for a destination that has become such a popular expat destination. Anyone got any insights or suggestions for international schools in Angola? We're not too concerned about which curriculum the school follows, as long as it's international and offers a good standard or schooling and facilities.

Hi, If you are looking for English as medium of education, then you have only two options. 1.Escola-which follows european syllabus and located inside the city, costs around 21000 USD per annum. 2.Amercan School located about 20 km away from the city ( Luanda Sul-which is newly built city with good facilities ), costs around USD 40000 per annum

I don't know about the American School mentioned above. Perhaps the poster above was referring to the Luanda International School of Angola (LISA) in Talatona, which is not American at all, but about 20% of its students (and teachers) are American. The school teaches the International Baccalaureate curriculum (PYP, MYP, DP) from ages 3-18 so it is a truly international school.

Do any of these schools have sports programs? Or do they travel with sports?
