Hi, I got a job in Riyadh to work on one of the Universities. Now, I am quite scared to go. What is the life like there for a single woman. My company said they will provide single apartment but not in compound. Should I be nervous and scared about it. Please help. L

It's natural to feel anxious before any move, let alone one that requires a big cultural adjustment. Living in Saudi, especially as a woman, has its challenges, but if you respect and adapt to the local culture, you should be fine.
