A work permit is mandatory to work in Qatar. For indian nationals there's a standard procedure to get this document. Please check the below link http://india.visa-service-center.com/work-permit/obtain-work-permit-indian-national-qatar/ You may find visa procedure for short term visit inthe same website.

Hi Emma

Have a look at our Visas for Qatar page. As far as I know you do need to have passed a medical in order to go for fingerprinting, yes. Check this with your closest Qatari embassy, but to my mind if you failed the first test, the only hope you would have would be to go for a second time. It is important to note that if an applicant has hepatitis, TB or HIV they will not pass the medical.

Good luck with this
