Hi all, I have just been offered a role at a firm in AD at AED 35k per month ( approx 73k GBP or 420k AED per annum) plus some other cash benefits on top. I am married and have 1 daughter. Could anyone advise on good and reasonable priced locations to live which are 1) fairly close to same some good schools eg BSAK and 2) which will be easy for me to get to work (which is around Capital Garden Mosque / Khalifa st / 3rd st per Google). I plan to buy a car fairly soon upon arriving.

I am the single mom of three children (2,8,10) on an international assignment in London. I am coping with all the adjustments to a new culture, home, etc. but feel doubly overwhelmed being here by myself with my children, no spouse and all my family/friends back home. Is there anyone out there in a similar situation? Any suggestions on overcoming the anxiety and loneliness? Any suggestions on how to meet people and not feel so isolated?

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can help. I am thinking of moving to Boston to study at Havard for 6 months next year. I have heard it is quite an expensive city - is this true? How much should I budget ? I do not plan to live lavishly but I do enjoy eating out and socialising with friends.

Also, I know most American's drive around but do you think I'll really need to get myself a car for 6 months. How good is the public transport network and is it safe at night ?

Hi, I'm from India,currently working in a leading IT firm (almost 2years). But i did my engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation. I always had a passion towards my core and i had to join this IT company because of family financial problems. Now before its too late i need to change my career. And I'm in a dilemma.Being complete fresher to my Instrumemtation core, not sure as where to begin. I did certification courses in PLC,SCADA,DCS all and still technically strong ;)...need guidance on where to start and which place is better to work. Is Gulf a good place to start for a fresher???

1. Should I bring new cooking utensils like a cooker, kadai, tawa, etc or will they allow you to bring old ones ?

2. I have heard that it is better to wash your new clothes when moving to Australia because otherwisethey charge you for taking in new clothes.
