Hi, is there any hidden cost in gross monthly salary? What's the actual take home pay? In Singapore, the actual take home pay is less than 80% of our salary as 20% goes to Central Provident Fund and another few dollars goes to a self help organization. thanks

One of my best friends is a Kiwi, and has been pestering me to move to Auckland and move in with her. I don't want to be a freeloader, but I am nearly 57 years old, and still need to work to support myself because I don't have a big savings account. Is it even possible for someone my age to find a job there? I have excellent secretarial type skills as well as some retail experience. I know I will have a built-in group of friends because my buddy is very outgoing with a big family. I just don't want to get there and not be able to work. Any ideas/advice? Is this even realistic?

Noe the company is asking for visa processing certain money. I feel this is a scam though the selection procedure was in normal way. I checked all websites with email address and it seems all genuine. He is a member in Linked Inn and other sites.

Hello, I am originally from the UK would like to know if you could tell me what are the names of the main stores where people buy toileteries and household goods (such as detergent and shampoo)?? -Here in the UK we would use boots, or tesco, sainbury's etc.

In the US would be walmart, target, any supermarket. And also if there are any discount shops - so in the UK and USA we have things like poundland or USD 1 store - is there anywhere that I can go in Qatar and not break my pocket?

Can someone help? I have been offered a senior position in Dubai and have started the visa process only to be asked for my education certs as I do not have a degree my employer has asked for my GCSE's, however I have lost these certs over the years as I left school over 20 years ago and the certs have gone walk about.

The exam boards don't hold copies so basically I have no education certs available for attestation. Can my employer still obtain a work permit with a different job category and if so how does this work? Thank you in advance

Hi All, My husband myself, and my toddler are moving to Abu Dhabi in August.

I am tearing my hair out with the decisions of what I need to ship and what would be cheaper to buy over there.

For example -should I ship kitchen items like pots and pans etc? Linen? Or just come with the bare esssentials and re buy when we get there? We are not planning on shipping any large items like furniture etc

I have recently been given a job offer. Salary of 15000 sar. This is made up of housing and travel allowance. Is this normal practice as I was under the impression these come separately. I have also not been allocated any flights home as I will be working on my husbands sponsorship. Again is this normal. Where can I find out more regarding my rights as a westerner. I've worked in Norway many times as a seaman.
I have recieved bills from the Norway tax people many times also but my work have always said to ignore these and that they will handle them - because I am to pay UK tax and as such the double taxation treaty needs to be enforced. I presume my workplace then proves that I am paying UK tax because eventually (usually after a year of threatening letters) the debt is cancelled.

Husband is moving to Khamis in May, hopefully myself and toddler to follow by Oct. He will be employed by the Alsalam Aircraft Co for their F-15 program. Anyone have info on the compound most likely used? (Family housing) We were told there are two sides to the compound, one American, one British. Also we were told the name of the compound was "the scene"?
