Hi guys, does anyone have any advice about hiring a maid in Dubai. We are moving there soon and with two little kids and full time job I know I'm going to be needing help around the house. What is the average salary or pay rate for a maid in the emirate? Would 1,500 AED per month be about right?

Any insights welcome, but please no CVs or phone numbers of potential maids needed here - I'm just looking for insights about the salary range!

My son and I are planning on moving from the Netherlands to Chicago. Does any one know if there are any Dutch International elementary schools in Chicago (besides; British, German, French etc.)? Or anything else that might be helpful regarding a smooth transition to a school in America as an (Dutch) expat?

Hi, I have got job offer in lagos in one of the company, they have offered me 2100$ per month. Company will give family accommodation in 2BHK apartment, rest water and electricity bill is I need to take care. Company will give car with driver and fuel. I will shift with my wife and 3 year kid there, education cost and food expense i need to take care. Medical mine is 100% given by company and for family 50% by company. Kindly confirm whether this is good offer? How much I can save? Regards, Vishal

hello i was offered work in bahrain. i signed a contract and was told to come on visit visa until my work visa is approved. i give my passport to someone 2 months ago and i still waiting. i am paid correctly but my visit visa will end soon and i am worried that still i have no work visa. my company then say that i must leave the country for a short time when my visit visa runs out and return to bahrain on a new visit visa. they tell me i just have to wait a bit. should i be worried? how long does a work visa and cpr take? i am worried as i do not want to break the law.

hello, I have an NIE and bought a house two years ago. Now, my wife, kid and I wish to apply for a residency visa in Spain to be able to travel and stay there for more than 3-6 months. When I checked the relevant application according the Spanish Embassy (Official application form for Alien's Identity Card (model EX-17), I find there is a space to NIE number, however, I also read that the NIE number will be issued automatically when the identity card is issued and therefore no need to obtain NIE number for my wife and kids in advance? is this correct?

So, me and my partner are both 21 and live in the UK. I am Scottish, while he South African (his parents moved to the UK when he was young). He takes a trip back to Cape Town every 2 years to visit family, and on his most recent trip, I accompanied him. We have decided that it would be a great experience to live and work there for 2 years, and see how we enjoy it! We don't know how we will find it so we are loosely saying 2 years, though it might be more or less than this.

I'm looking to move to the England from Canada under a Fiance Visa, but my Fiance who is a British Citizen is unable to work for a year or so and it says the sponsor needs to be earning 18600 a year.

This is impossible for her as she needs physiotherapy sessions a few times a week which would get in the way of working, and she needs to apply for Disability Living Allowance which doesn't provide that amount of money.

And even when she is able to work, it wont be full time or in a high powered job.
