Do most expats send their children to international schools in Qatar? How does payment work? Does the company pay for this, or is it expected you get a higher salary to pay for this? Also, when is enrolment and when's the earliest you can apply?

I am a single female intested in finding a teaching job in Abu Dhabi, but before I started my job hunt I wanted to do some preliminary research. Is this a field with a lot of job opportunities in AD, and is it financially feasible to have a decen lifestyle in Abu Dhabi based on teaching salaries? hi my name is prashant, working in an MNC bank, i moved to istanbul last year. and this year my wife has also joined me. wanted to know if she can also get a job in istanbul. she had been working in bank back in india. the reason why i am asking this question, is that i have been informed that as per turkish regulation, if the expat is working, than the spouse cannot get a job unless one of them have completed min 5 years of work in istanbul

Hi All, I had an accident in one of the busiest street in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The traffic police immediately comes and tells me to come tomorow to the nearest police station. As it was my first experiance and due to certain job conditions I made necessary repairs in my car just after receiving permission letter- (wargah islah) from police.

Hi - I'm soon to leave the UK for Nairobi to take up a project post with an aid agency. I'd thought of shipping out a fairly new Jeep Compass (2.2 litre diesel) that I own, on the basis that I could stick it into a container together with some personal effects. Questions:- 1. Are Jeeps reasonably well serviced in Nairobi? Spares availability? 2. I understand that I can import this (and my personal effects) free of duty. If I sell the vehicle after three years, is there duty to pay? Any other advice on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks

I have been offered a job in Nigeria Lagos. They would provide me with housing, car and local expenses apart from the savings part. I wish to know about the family life in Nigeria. How comfortable is it?? Also what are the options for schooling there?? I have been told that they will take care of the school fee etc of my kid in indian school there. How good is that school?? What's the state of public transport in Abu Dhabi? Still haven't learned to drive stick shift, and not even sure that there's cars available in automatic? Also, I HATE driving and would be prepared to shell out some additional cash if I could live in a pedestrian-friendly area. That said, is it normal for people to walk, is this wishful thinking?

Hi All, I'm from Malaysia (Asian Countries)and interested to pursue a job in Saudi Arabia. Working as Project Manager for Railway construction for 9 years and hold a bachelor degree of electrical. I'm married with 1 kid and also planning to bring them once settled down. Appreciate if anybody with similar experiences able to provide some guidelines of the comfortable salary plus other benefits which is common practice in Saudi.
