Hi, I have signed a one year teaching contract with a private international school in Cairo. They told me to come on a tourist visa, and at the end of the contract they will reimburse me 7,000EGP. The problem is that I can't get a straight answer from the embassy in DC or consulates around the US as to whether or not I can enter Egypt with just my arrival ticket (and not show round trip airfare).

Hello everyone, I am in a bit of a fix. I was working at a hotel company in dubai during 2008-09. As i wasnt given the work that i was promised, and combined with insanely long hours without overtime pay, i refused to go to work. following that i was called to discuss the situation by the supervisor. during the discussion the supervisor told me that if i wouldnt had showed u that they would have declared me absconding even though i was just still living at the company provided accomodation. .however we agreed that my contract be terminated.

Hello, I will be moving to South Africa from the UK on a 90 day visitors permit. I want to apply for a temporary residence permit whilst im in South Africa, does anyone know if this is possible? Or can you only apply for a TR permit in your home country? The other issue is my fiance is a South African citizen, so if we got married during this time whilst on my visitors permit, is it possible to apply for a TR permit when im in SA? Or would I still have to come back to the UK first to apply?? Thanks so much if anyone can help!

I'm thinking of relocating in French Tuscany. I am an acupuncturist and a registered nurse in the US. Can anyone tell me what is required for a foreigner to practice acupuncture in France? Is there enough of a local and/or expat community to support a 15-20 hour/week practice? Where is the best place to live if you'd like to be in walking distance to the markets and shops, cafes? Our family is moving to the Constantia Area in Cape Town. I was wondering if anyone has any insights on schools in the area, and how private education is in South Africa in general.

My work permit was recently rejected for my current job. I recently found temporary work with another company which will only last for a few months. Can I just apply for a temporary work permit with the new company or will I be stopped by immigration sincey work permit for the first company was rejected?

I heard about the changes to the visas for Oman - how long will it take to process my family residence ( dependant ) visa? If any one knows about it plz friends reply at the earliest. My husband has got an offer from Muscat which he has accepted too and I'm waiting for my visa.
