Just discovered that NZ has a great deal for international students like myself to go there for 3 years and get a PhD. I understand my partner will also be entitled to a visa including a work permit. I have 2 questions: 1. must the visa be reapplied for every year, as I pay for the course 2. If my wife were to fall pregnant while there, would that jeopardise our welcome? I'm from the UK, she from Vietnam (if that makes a difference).

Hi there... I have been offered a job in Abu Dhabi for a salary of AED 5000. I understand that it is a fairly low salary as I've been doing quite a bit of research. I am single - the contract is for a year and the only benefit being offered is Healthcare insurance. However, my reasoning is that its a foot in the door and I can always look around for something better once I'm there? Is that a logical way of thinking? Would I be able to live on that salary? I have a degree in Commerce - would it be relatively easier to be able to find a suitable job in my field for next year?

I'm considering a job in Angola's oil industry. I don't speak Portuguese and I've never lived in Africa. Has anyone got any insights into life in Angola, I'm particularly concerned about the business culture and etiquette in Angola. I've been working in abu Dhabifor the last year, so it will probably be a massive culture shock for me to move to Angola. Is the business culture more African or would you classify it as more Western? Conservative or casual? How important is it that I speak Portuguese?

I know a bit about the country's healthcare system but if anyone has any advice with regards to that, I'd be very grateful. For instance, how does an expatriate become eligible to receive free healthcare? If I am eligible, will my family be covered?

Hi everyone ! I have got a job offer from Nairobi. They are offering me $2500/Month after 30% tax deduction. Medical Insurance is provided by the company. Presently I am in India earning $1200/ Month after tax deduction. In India I save $600/ Month. I will be shifting to Nairobi with my wife. I need to know how much I will be able to save in Nairobi if I opt for 1 bedroom apartment in a decent society (not very high class)? They will be providing me car loan too.

I got a job offer in Denver which I am really excited about. I am just a bit apprehensive about the location - I was hoping to be based in a bigger US city such as New York or LA. I am from London, so I am used to having lots to do and as a single guy I am worried about getting bored and living an isolated in Denver. Do you have any tips on what to do ? What is nightlife like? Are their good opportunities to do sport in the city? How can I meet people in Denver?
