Hi I am interested in re-locating permanently to Canada and I am not sure where I start with this process. I currently work as an Senior Electrical Designer working on a large scale project for a company providing vessels for the government. My partner is a Senior Teaching Assistant. Is there any work within these sectors which allow us to consider immigration to Canada? Any help in where to start the process of looking into moving there would be greatly appreciated. Regards Marc

Advice about residency in Cyprus?

Expert Info

Submitted by Jinksy Ferry on
Destination: Cyprus
Ok, my wife and I have had an apartment in Cyprus for 4 years now. We have decided it is time to say adios to the uk. I have been self employed for 24 years and a couple of months consultancy work in uk every so often will support us in Cyprus so we neither want to work in Cyprus or are actually retired and these seem to be the only two options regarding residency I.e. a-e working or f, retired. We are a bit confused about what to do. We have our residency interview in 4 weeks but in the meantime would appreciate any advice. Also, health insurance, what do we need?

Hi, I have several friends that have moved to Munich recently, and were very fortunate that there was an event soon after they arrived which was specifically for newcomers to the city. This included stalls for schools, English speaking lawyers, accountants, and pretty much everything else they needed to help get set up. Is there anything similar to this anywhere in Cyprus over the summer? Thanks!

Purchasing property in Villamartin, Orihuela in Spain?

Expert Info

Submitted by robbiepurton on
Destination: Spain
Hi... My partner and I are thinking of purchasing property in or around the Villamartin area. The reason for our choice is the access to golf courses and beaches as well as there being good shopping and entertainment areas. We don't intend to move for a few years but will use the property for holidays for us, our immediate friends and family so it will get used a lot. My question is, is it safe to buy there. I have read all about the Land Grabs and although the area seems to be an urbanisation the property does seem rather cheap! Is there anywhere we should avoid?

Hello Everyone! I just moved to Muscat two weeks ago and been searching for a place to live. It is tough finding something suitable. My wife and dog will be moving in with me so I am trying to find some place where the neighbours will be tolerant to having a dog around. I have tried some real estate agents and searching on the internet but I can't find something nice. Does anyone know a good agent? If you have any tips on locations I'd love to hear them. So far I've seen places in Qurum and Madinat Sultan Qaboos. They were nice places but the bedrooms were always so tight!

Hi, I was offered work in Qatar, but there has been a problem with the visa process. The Visa sent by my sponsor has no middle name on it, so the Qatar embassy here in our country rejected the application. The question is, does my visa only need to be corrected or will my sponsor need to apply for another visa? How long will it take? I need that job asap.

Hello, we are looking to come visit Shanghai later this month but I'm struggling to pin down an area suitable for our family move in July this year. My husband has been offered a job with the Sales office being in Shanghai, but as he can work from home some days, we don't need to be in the thick of Shanghai. We live in rural Wales so it's going to be a huge change.
